Weekend Getaway: Philadelphia


Jersey Shore Style was in Philadelphia this weekend to get a taste of history, and in a span of two days, we got to see and learn a lot. Just a car ride away from the Jersey shore, Philadelphia makes a great day trip. The city of full of attractions that are not only fun, but educational for everyone from children to adults.

History buffs can check out the Constitution Center, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell. The Franklin Institute is also a great trip for almost anyone — its current exhibits include “Giant Mysterious Dinosaurs,” “CSI: The Experience,” and “Mummies of the Word.” The Philadelphia Visitor’s Center also has some off the beaten path itineraries, for anyone looking to experience more of the city.

Additionally, Pennsylvania has no sales tax on clothing — so shop to your heart’s content! South Street stretches along the Delaware River and features over 300 stores and restaurants of every kind, most of which are open from noon until midnight every day.
