Ready to end the summer with a fun-filled outing that might very well top your personal list of favorite summer experiences in 2015? Well, head on over to Island Beach State Park, Saturday, Aug. 29, for a Moonlight Hike from 7-10 p.m.
Astronomer Richard Huber to Teach Basics on Moonlight Hike
It’s the perfect way to get out and celebrate the shore’s natural beauty while learning some exciting aspects of stargazing. This year’s 2015 Moonlight Hike will feature astronomer Richard Huber, who will teach us some astronomy basics after the hike. See how many craters you can identify on the moon! Enjoy awesome views of the constellations through a high-powered telescope that will show the evening sky in all its boundless sparkle!
Remember to bring a flashlight, blanket or chair, sunscreen, drinking water and bug spray. All ages welcome, however a registered adult must accompany minors. Park admission fees are required at the main gate.
The program will run rain or shine! If the Park cancels the program, you will be notified and receive a full refund. For registrants that cancel for any reason, the fee is not refundable.
