The Crown On Your Head
The Crown on Your Head continues her project of nurturing children’s self-esteem. Every child wears a crown, Tillman explains: “No one’s is brighter, no one’s is duller./ It’s only a crown of a different color.” The sentiment is a way to express love and appreciation for children all over the world. In Tillman’s story, the crown is what gives us unique value. Wherever the children go or whatever they do, the crown will always be there with them.
This picture book is a must-read. It’s a celebration of childhood and growing up that’s not only a book meant for children, but for adults and parents as well.
