Skincare specialist Kaylin Johnson recently shared with GirlieGirl Army her picks for the best eco-friendly sun protection that works just the way it should. Before you head over to your favorite beach this summer–or anywhere under the sun’s rays, for that matter–lather yourself up with these finds.
For the face, she recommends MyChelle Sun Shield SPF 28 — which doubles as a great moisturizer. While you’re out and about, bring along a dry or powder sunscreen like Jane Iredale Powder-Me SPF for touch-ups and to get rid of any oil and sweat sheen on your skin. Another great choice for a dry sunscreen is Peter Thomas Roth’s Instant Mineral Powder. We’ve used it and it’s great — it goes on naturally and keeps us protected while on the go.
Earth Science Daily Sun Defense is a body sunblock that works. All-Terrain’s TerraSport SPF 30 is waterproof and a good choice on more active days. And if you don’t plan to be in the sun but still want a summer glow, try Nature’s Gate Glow Lotion.
