Did you know that the end of June is the prime time to pick cherries and raspberries?
NJFamily has compiled a handy list of local farms that offer pick-your-own for these delicious fruits (and more, as the months go on!).
Remember, wherever you’re going, call the orchard before you leave – there’s a chance they won’t be available for pick-your-own, due to lack of supply or weather or any other condition! Most orchards also only accept cash, so make sure to have some on hand.
Battleview Orchards (Freehold): Battleview harvest locally grown fruits. Right now, cherries and black raspberries are in-season – view their pick-your-own schedule for more detailed information. 732-462-0756.
Donaldson’s Farm (Hackettstown): Open now through July for raspberry picking, 9am-6pm. Also offers group tours and picking parties. 908-852-9122.
Philips Farm (Milford): Black raspberries are in-season; closed on Tuesdays. 908-995-0022.
Stults Farm (Cranbury): Currently picking raspberries; to see the full pick-your-own schedule for this summer, and to sign up for email alerts, visit their website. 609-799-2523.
Wightman’s Farm (Morristown): Cherry-picking is available! Open daily, 8am-6pm. 973-425-0840.
