Long Live The King

Swing by the Count Basie Theatre tomorrow night (January 20) for Elvis Presley’s 77th birthday! Elvis impersonators Mike Albert and Scot Bruce will be performing some of The King’s greatest hits at Count Basie for the tenth year in a row.

In an interview with the Asbury Park Press, Albert explains that Elvis “ran the gamut, and so do we when we perform. We do the rockabilly, the ballads, the movie hits, gospel… we cover the ground. That’s what the people want. They don’t want just one era of Elvis. Elvis had a long, brilliant run and we just want to keep that music alive.”

The celebration starts at 8:00 on Friday night. Tickets start at $19.50 and can be purchased online or at the Count Basie Box Office in Red Bank. Call 732-842-9000 for more information.
