Chris Cornell at the Count Basie Theatre

Chris Cornell

Grammy-winning musician, singer, and songwriter Chris Cornell will be playing an acoustic show at Red Bank’s Count Basie Theatre on Tuesday, November 22, starting at 8pm.

As the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Soundgarden, Cornell was an architect of the 90s grunge movement, pioneering a savage sound and addressing complex, dark and deeply individual material. With the supergroup Audioslave and the one-off band Temple of the Dog, he showed us a soulful side. Now he has three solo albums under his belt and another to come.

Cornell has also contributed songs to the “Great Expectations,” Mission Impossible II, and Casino Royale soundtracks. His latest song is “The Keeper,” for the new film Machine Gun Preacher.

This very special acoustic show supports his new release, due out later this year. Each ticket purchase also includes a digital download of the album.

Tickets start at $41.50 and can be ordered online or by calling the Basie’s box office at 732.842.9000.
