The
Algqonuin Arts Theatre has announced their 2012 Summer Series, beginning June 28. The three titles, “Kids Say the Darndest Things! Starring Patrick Cassidy,” “The 39 Steps,” and “Oliver!” are on sale now online or at the box office in Manasquan.
“Kids Say the Darndest Things! Starring Patrick Cassidy” is a new musical version of the best-selling book and famous television show. Patrick Cassidy will host, joined by dozens of young stars from the Algonquin Youth Ensemble. The show runs from June 28 until July 1.
“The 39 Steps” is a fast-paced, humorous mystery with over 150 characters and inventive stagecraft, including an onstage plane crash. It runs on two consecutive weekends, July 13-15 and the 20-22.
“Oliver!” is the classic musical based on Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. It’s a three-time Tony winner and will be playing for eight performances at the Algonquin Theatre, from August 3-5 and 10-12.
