9/11 Memorial: Teach + Learn

Eight-acre Memorial quadrant. Rendering by Squared Design Lab

Today marks the 11th anniversary of that fateful day in NYC  and Washington DC. Last year, the 9/11 Memorial opened as a tribute to honor the victims of the terror attacks. Its website offers insightful information, and resources to teach and learn about the events.

Full reconstruction of the memorial is set to be competed around 2014, at which time, all four sides of the Memorial will be accessible to the public. In the interim, people can visit portions of the site.

Walking tours are available, which are led by 9/11 survivors, recovery workers, lower Manhattan residents and victims’ family members.

The Memorial is free and visitors must reserve their passes in advance. Visit 911memorial.org for more information.
