If the trailer is any indication, the upcoming release of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, is sure to please. Whether you’re in the same boat and can relate to the characters, family-wise, or want to see what life is like with a large family whose members aren’t afraid to tell it like it is, MBFGW2 looks like the movie to watch.
The trailer alone was laugh out loud funny, featuring our favorite kind of hair salon banter. “Eyes open, knees shut,” advises grandmother Maria Portokalos, played by Lainie Kazan, which is quickly followed by, “If YOUR knees are open, shut your eyes,” retorts Aunt Voula played by Andrea Martin.
The story is about a young Greek who falls in love with a non-Greek, and struggles to get her family to accept him while she comes to terms with her heritage and cultural identity.
MBFGW features Rita Wilson, John Stamos, Nia Vardalos and of course John Corbett. It’s due to come out March, 2016, which isn’t too far away! It’s in our calendar and we are looking forward to seeing it!
