March into march with These Fun Activities

March is here and our thoughts are turning to a bunch of fun things: spring shopping, Belmar’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, music, and weekend time with family and friends. First, we start with shopping!

The weather is back to being seasonably cold (as it should be!), but we’re warming up to the thoughts of spring with one of our favorite stores, Talbots. They’re hosting a shopping party on Saturday, March 4 at the Sea Girt location. The event begins at 9:00 and will include styling tips and light refreshments. Everything is 25% off, except clearance, and what’s great is that they’re donating 30% of the proceeds to Dress for Success, a nonprofit that empowers women to achieve economic independence. They provide a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life (something that we wish foreveryone). If you go, bring your gently-worn, wear-to-work clothes to donate to this worthwhile cause.

Get Your Green On

This Sunday also brings the 44th annual St Patrick’s Day parade in Belmar. The parade begins at 12:30, but plan to arrive early to get a parking spot and a place along the parade route. It’s going to be chilly on Sunday and the sun is supposed to shine bright – so dress well, and in layers, and put on the sunscreen!

Do you have any traditions while at the parade? How about for St. Patrick’s Day? It’s on a Friday this year.

Bowling, Anyone?

How about bowling for a great cause? Saturday and Sunday is the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties 35th annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake. With a donation, you can bowl, spend time with your family and friends, and contribute to a great organization.

Too Good to be True

Our original Jersey Boy is coming to Atlantic City on Saturday!

Frankie Valli is playing at the Borgata. We are planning to check out the show, and are looking forward to it!

Are you ready to march into March and set your sights on spring? Then get out for some shopping, parade watching, bowling, music, and more. Let us know how your weekend was!
