Let’s Lunch at The Beanery

If you like to lunch, then you’ll love The Beanery. This cozy, little cafe in Point Pleasant is a great spot for catching up with friends over a delicious meal. We stopped by The Beanery recently, and as soon as we stepped inside, we knew we had made the right choice. Nearly every table was packed with people taking a break from their routine to enjoy a great meal. But there’s something special about The Beanery. It seems to exclusively attract the female clientele. No one can explain it. They’re just drawn to it.

Maybe its The Beanery’s  coffee concoctions or chai teas. We ordered the latter, and it was delicious. After studying the lunch menu and its several, eclectic options, we decided to order four sandwiches, two of which were brought home for a friend and family member.

We ordered the Ham & Brie sandwich, which combined honey ham and brie with sliced apples, Romaine lettuce, honey mustard, and — unexpectedly — cinnamon on pumpernickel. We also tried the California Turkey, a delicious turkey breast, avocado, tomato, and sprouts croissant sandwich with a yummy garlic herb spread. The Mozz-Foccacia was a standout — fresh mozzarella served with sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, romaine lettuce, and balsamic vinaigrette on toasted, garlic foccacia. We were told the Santa Barbara was a popular selection, which we ordered. It comes with chicken or tuna salad (we chose tuna) topped with sliced apples and cinnamon on toasted raisin bread.

Overall we’d say between the lovely company, great conversations, specialty cafe drinks, and eclectic fare, we would “highly recommend” The Beanery for its relaxing environment, and its delicious specialty food and drinks (not to mention reasonable prices).  The service and staff were excellent — very polite, attentive and thoughtful. So if you’re on the lookout for a low key, cozy spot to get together with friends, family, or to meet for work, be sure to check out The Beanery.
