Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Are you going to try to catch a leprechaun on St Patrick’s Day? We tried… and we are still trying. In the meantime, we’re getting ready to celebrate the day as intended. Here are a few places you can visit — Erin go Bragh.

Kelly’s, Neptune

Rod’s Tavern, Sea Girt

Where will we be?…still up in the air. We do know that wherever we go, an Irish Coffee is where we’ll start. That alone is whetting our appetite. After that, still tbd.

Our U2 Boys from Éireann

In honor of our boys from across the pond, give them a listen. Or watch their show in Glastonbury. We hope to see U2 live soon again.

St. Patrick’s Day Traditions

What does St. Patrick’s Day have in store for you today? Do you have a traditional dinner planned or a favorite watering hole to meet friends? Do tell, what do you have planned? Just be sure to avoid getting pinched, by wearing green of course. (New to that tradition? Some of us were here too, until we read this from Buzzfeed.)

No matter, St Patrick’s Day gives us good cause to celebrate with friends or family. Many went off to work or school wearing some green, that’s for sure. Students’ lunches may have contained some green grapes, yellow pineapple chunks (gold!), or even a bag of rainbow cereal to sprinkle on their yogurts. Dinner at home? How about traditional corned beef and cabbage or shepherd’s pie with soda bread and a pint of Guinness? Find a traditional Irish music channel on Pandora and see who knows all the words to Green Alligators. Or skip it all and hit a pub? Try PJ Sweeney’s in Brick or the Dublin House in Red Bank.
